Leonardo's Mona Lisa and the Mona Lisa of one of his pupils, probably Francesco Melzi (1493-1573) or Gian Giacomo Caprotti da Oreno, known by the nickname Salaì (1480-1524). Both paintings were executed at roughly the same time. The first, by da Vinci, hangs in the Louvre.
