In 1915 Anna Akhmatova wrote this "Prayer":

Give me the bitter years of illness,
Breathlessness, sleeplessness, fever,
Take away both my child and my friend,
And the mysterious gift of song -
Thus I pray at Your liturgy,
After so many wearisome days,
That the cloud over dark Russia
May become a cloud in a glory of rays.

Literal translation

Do you realise, running through the poetess's biography in your memory, that the prayer of this young woman was heard and in the end fulfilled to the letter? She would survive both the bitter years of illness and the taking away of her child and her friends, and poetic success, and she would see the cloud over dark Russia turn, after all, into a cloud wreathed in rays of glory. So exactly that the prayer sounds like a prophecy.

Beware of your wishes and mind your prayers
