The Garage Museum's Exhibition Plans for 2022 Do, Indeed, Make the Coming Year a Female One
In March a retrospective of Lydia Masterkova (1927–2008) will open, also showing works by Yefrosinya Yermilova-Platova and Eva Levina-Rozengolts. In the photograph by Igor Palmin: Masterkova during preparations for an exhibition in the Izmailovo forest park in 1974.
At the same time the museum will present new works by the German artist Anne Imhof, combining music, the human body, art objects and architecture. In the photograph by Andrea Rossetti: the installation of Imhof's exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo in 2021.
In the summer we shall see the video works of the Uzbek artist and film director Saodat Ismailova, addressed to the history of Central Asia. In the photograph: a still from the 2017 film “Zolotoy”.
