In the courtyard of the Institute of History and Archives on Nikolskaya Street (remember that Gothic blue façade with the unicorn, the lion and the spires?) there is a small building in the Russian style, a terem. In the days of the Print Yard, the terem housed the proofreading workshop (the pravilnya). The pravilnya was built on ancient foundations and vaults dating from the time of Ivan the Terrible, which makes this complex one of the oldest structures in Moscow. The interiors of the terem look like this today. The restorers have done a splendid job
