US Intervention in the Middle East Mapped onto the 11-Year Solar Cycle of Sunspot Activity
The theory linking warfare and revolutionary outbreaks on earth with the activity of the sun was first advanced by the Russian Soviet scientist Alexander Leonidovich Chizhevsky (1897-1964), a biophysicist and the founder of heliobiology and aeroionification. Chizhevsky demonstrated a dependence between the cycles of solar activity and many phenomena in the biosphere and on earth generally, and even proposed a concept of the role of solar activity in the origin of epidemics.
Since then a great many studies have developed Chizhevsky's suppositions; one, for example, shows that a heightened level of electromagnetic radiation increases antisocial behaviour in rats. What is more, researchers draw attention to the fact that the Earth's magnetic field is weakening, leaving humankind more vulnerable to “solar” effects.
