The street art festival "Perekhod" has taken place in Kaluga, with Yandex Pay as its general partner. In my view, this is a very good sign for young artists: support from well-known companies shows that street art remains relevant and in demand. On the whole, events of this kind are useful first and foremost for the artists themselves, since an open platform for expression and work with a curator help them to grow and to find new meanings.

The festival, of course, has also benefited the city, which now has some new and interesting objects. It is curious that many of the artists, turning to the theme of space, regard it as something spiritual and set it against the material. This can be traced, for example, in Andrey Berger's mural "Transfiguration", which visualises the moment of humanity's evolutionary leap, and in the work of the duo Aesthetics Group, which transforms an industrial chimney into an axis "joining the earthly and the heavenly".
