Five billion roubles to be allocated in 2021 in support of cultural projects
The cabinet had earlier directed 3.5 billion to projects in the field of culture and the arts, but First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Kiriyenko (who also chairs the committee for the conduct of competitions for presidential grants) has clarified that, for an objective and complete picture, the funds of the presidential grants foundation (about 1.5 billion roubles) must be added to this sum.
The money is meant to go not only to the eminent and already well-known figures of culture. Support will also go to new cross-cultural projects, and the creative work of young people and children who are only setting out on their path to stardom has not been forgotten either.
