Ulyana Sergeyenko Continues to Delight with Her Devotion Not Only to the Hollywood Films of the Golden Age but to Refined Masterpieces of World Art

Ulyana Sergeyenko continues to delight with her devotion not only to the Hollywood films of the golden age but to refined masterpieces of world art. This time, the sketches for a couture collection inspired by old circus acts, cabaret divas and the dance shows of the early twentieth century reveal subtle allusions to the illustrations of Erté, Roman Tyrtov.

Incidentally, both his legacy and his biography are entirely in keeping with Ulyana's favourite aesthetic: Russian roots, a scion of a noble house, he combined the roles of artist, illustrator, stage designer, couturier, designer and sculptor, and, what is more, worked between Paris and Hollywood.

But see for yourself this rapturous homage to the Art Deco style in a confident, authorial reading. One of the loveliest collections!
