Weakened beams found in the Louvre's Sully Wing, Campana Gallery closed

A difficult autumn continues for the Louvre. A recent inspection found that several load-bearing beams on the second level of the southern Sully wing had weakened, and as a result some service rooms have been closed, together with the Campana Gallery, where the collection of ancient Greek pottery is displayed.

The Sully wing is one of the oldest parts of the Louvre, named after Maximilien de Béthune, Duke of Sully, first minister to Henry IV.
