The "Moscow" Vitruvius from the Pushkin Museum library can be seen in Gallery 7 of the main building. The pages will be turned from time to time; I was promised that this would happen every day. So the original of the book, published in a facsimile copy, can be studied thoroughly within the museum's walls.

Gallery 7 was chosen for the Renaissance edition of Vitruvius for good reason. It is devoted to the art of Byzantium and Italy of the 13th to 16th centuries, so the book has been reunited with the milieu in which it was created. On the walls around it hang works by people who could have read it, and certainly did, and who were acquainted with its publisher and commentator.
