The statement says that Patriarch Bartholomew, guilty of the "dismemberment of Orthodox Ukraine", has now turned his attention to Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia and is acting jointly with British intelligence services to create religious structures under Constantinople's control.
Russian intelligence also claims that the Patriarch's ambitions extend to Eastern Europe, where he intends to grant autocephaly to the schismatic "Montenegrin Orthodox Church" in order to strike a blow at the Serbian Orthodox Church. In the statement Patriarch Bartholomew is likened to false prophets, and a passage from the Sermon on the Mount is quoted: "They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits."
