Today we travelled with the intellectual Club 418 to Anton Pavlovich Chekhov's favourite estate, Melikhovo, which became the true family nest of the Chekhovs and gave the world dozens of works of Chekhovian classic. This year the Chekhov Museum at Melikhovo celebrates its 80th anniversary, and Anton Pavlovich himself his 160th, so to leave unvisited one of the principal points on the map of Chekhov's world would have been unjust. The tour of the protected grounds was conducted by the museum's chief curator and rapturous admirer of Antosha Chekhonte, Ksenia Abramovna Chaikovskaya.
