The chamber deep inside the mountain at Siegen was filled with treasures, from the golden reliquary holding the relics of Charlemagne and the Cross of Lothair to paintings and the score of Beethoven's Sixth Symphony. Fortunately, the crown with which all the German kings were crowned was not stolen and in the end returned to Vienna
