The Pushkin Museum Unveils Its Exhibition Programme for 2025
Of particular interest are the exhibitions in the Main Building, "Returning to the Future. On the History of Masterpieces Lost and Saved in the Second World War" and "The Museum of the Baryatinskys. European Art of the 17th–19th Centuries".
The exhibition "Returning to the Future. On the History of Masterpieces Lost and Saved in the Second World War", timed to the 80th anniversary of Victory, will open in the spring. It will show works rescued after the explosion at the Friedrichshain bunker and restored by the staff of the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, among them the only sculpture by Donatello in Russia.
The collection of the Princes Baryatinsky will go on display in the autumn. It forms a key part of one of the largest art collections in Russia: works by painters of the European school of the 17th–19th centuries, including Albrecht Dürer, Caspar David Friedrich and Luca Giordano.
In the first half of the year the Gallery of European and American Art of the 19th and 20th Centuries will open the exhibition "French Drawing of the 19th Century. Ingres, Delacroix, Daumier and Others".
