Does anyone still remember the Marquis Jean Michel de Castelbajac? A designer from the distant past, who dressed Madonna in a coat of teddy bears and was famed for his rainbow palette and witty solutions, once even earning the title of France's king of kitsch, and who befriended and collaborated with the American artist Keith Haring. In short, it turns out that his fashion label still exists, while the old fellow himself runs his social media quite actively and takes part in collaborations. In March of this year he adorned several façades on the rue des Beaux-Arts in Paris with his graffiti, as part of a campaign by local galleries, which decided to show art outdoors, beyond their own walls, during the pandemic and the total closure of cultural institutions.
