Sound installation by vtol changes its sound in response to actions on a connected phone

One of ::vtol::'s "robots" is a sound installation that works as follows: if you connect to its access point (there are four of them), it begins to react to whatever you do on your phone, altering the sound environment around it. The artist himself describes the work thus: "Whether you are checking your email, sending a message in a messenger app, or simply loading pages, the user instantly receives a response in the form of a change in the installation's activity. Since the routers used have very fast indicator lights, I decided to concentrate on programming the shortest possible percussive sounds, forming a polyrhythmic structure of four voices. The result is a kind of 'voice of the internet': an orchestra of crazed routers composing machine network techno."
