One of my favourite films with Angela Lansbury is the 1992 "Mrs. 'Arris Goes to Paris", which also stars Omar Sharif as the old lady's influential friend and Diana Rigg as one of the directresses of the House of Dior. The plot is simple: the charwoman of an English aristocrat sees a Dior gown and falls in love with it, resolving to buy herself a dress from the legendary atelier at any cost. The adventure consists of her journey to Paris and the making of the dress. A remake appeared in 2022 with Lesley Manville, Isabelle Huppert and Jason Isaacs, but I advise beginning your acquaintance with the old version all the same.
