Peskov says the new information security doctrine poses no threat to historians
A WORD PUT IN FOR THE 28 PANFILOV MEN.
Peskov reports that the new information security doctrine poses no threat to historians with an alternative opinion: "On the contrary, historical research and work in the archives are work to which great importance is attached. At the same time, it cannot be denied that we are confronted with actions and, one might say, a deliberate line aimed at distorting historical facts, twisting them, manipulating them, so as to exert ideological pressure on Russia. This is no secret, and it must be countered. But that does not, of course, exclude scholarly pluralism, and cannot exclude it."
I cannot imagine when I shall finally reconcile myself to this disgrace. To this daily disgrace.
