Wretched man that I am!
Wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Epistle to the Romans, 7:24
The Apostle laments and complains of the flesh, calling the earthly and voluptuous body a body of death, since it suffers within itself under the law of sin. But he says that he seeks the One who is able to deliver him from these afflictions, that is, Christ.
