A 1933 letter from Vitebsk asking for spoons and bread is called a forgery by a reader
Some time ago a letter from 1933, found in an old book, was published on "The Golden Age". In it a certain woman describes the grim state of affairs in Vitebsk and asks the relative to whom the letter is addressed to send her a dozen silver teaspoons. "I shall ask you, if it is not too much trouble, to buy and send me a loaf of bread along with the spoons; I shall remit you the cost of it all at once, as soon as I receive your parcel."
Like other publications, this post was published on the Mockingbird's Yandex.Zen. And what do you think? Along came a man who decided that this letter was the work of a FORGER, who wrote it with a ballpoint pen, evidently in order to blacken the Soviet Union or Stalin personally. With communist greetings, as the saying goes!
