The recently released trailer for "Pishcheblok" once again draws attention to Russian television series: it looks intriguing, stylish and atmospheric. The makers have plainly succeeded in recreating the atmosphere of the Soviet era. For those who are not well versed in our contemporary literature, this is an adaptation of the mystical novel by Alexei Ivanov, author of that very work "The Geographer Drank His Globe Away".

In places the Americans have lent a hand: the lads from Aaron Sims Creative helped with the look of one of the key characters of the final episode. You may have heard of them, for instance, from their work on the creatures of "It", "The Hulk" and "Men in Black".

Well, the aesthetics of the Soviet 1980s in "Pishcheblok" can be enjoyed in full after the release, which will take place on 19 May on Kinopoisk HD.
