What interests us about Golubitskoe is not so much its vineyards, which also have a rather gripping history, as the activity of the Golubitskoe art foundation, which has established a residency for artists, curators, art historians, journalists, critics, writers, historians, archaeologists and other creative and humanities specialists, who have the chance to live in such picturesque places and to work, which matters most, with the local context. The current resident of the foundation is the art historian and independent curator Anna Romanova, who works on the problem of open spaces in Russian art, which fits the concept of the Golubitskoe art foundation as well as could be wished. Meanwhile, within the walls of the villa the exhibition of the recent resident Alisa Ioffe continues; I attach, by way of illustrating the context as interpreted by the artist, the woman braiding plaits
