Amelia Windsor, granddaughter of the Duke of Kent, has published a long piece on the couture history of the House of Dior on Tatler's English-language website

On the English-language Tatler website a long piece on the couture history of the House of Dior has appeared, written by Amelia Windsor, granddaughter of the Duke of Kent. Amelia is not merely forty-second in line to the English throne: she combines modelling with editorial work at Tatler, and the young woman has, moreover, already appeared on the magazine's cover twice. And so, for the April issue, seated in the legendary Paris restaurant Laperouse, once frequented by Proust, Baudelaire and Hemingway, she has prepared a meditation on the surge of interest in couture gowns in post-war France, on the beginning of Christian Dior's career, on the development of the fashion traditions of the House of Dior, on how Dior's archival pieces are perceived today and on the link between the house's fashion history and the present, touching along the way on her impressions of the Dior collection presented this year at Haute Couture Week
