Picasso Museum in Paris to be renovated from 2028 to 2030 at a cost of 50 million euros
Picasso Museum in Paris Announces Major Redevelopment by 2030.
The Picasso Museum in Paris, which holds the largest collection of the artist's work in the world, with more than 5,000 works and 200,000 archival items, is preparing for a major redevelopment.
The plans include a new enfilade of rooms for temporary exhibitions, as well as the merging of the museum's garden with the square of the neighbouring hôtel. The total cost of the works is estimated at 50 million euros.
The redevelopment will run from 2028 to 2030 without the museum closing to visitors.
According to the museum's director, the modernisation is connected not with the technical condition of the building of the 1980s, but with the need to change the layout of the space.
