The Concierge Who Found the Missing Picasso

A painting by Pablo Picasso, reported missing in Granada on 6 October, has turned up in the possession of a hapless concierge. Among the works of art that arrived for an exhibition, Pablo Picasso's "Still Life with Guitar" of 1919 could not be found. For 18 days the police carried out an investigation: they questioned drivers, traced the route and studied camera footage.

It emerged, however, that the work, which had probably been forgotten by the carriers themselves, had been taken away by a 69-year-old concierge.

After questioning the woman, the police concluded that the incident had been an accident
