The Ending of Michôd's Film and the Fate of Henry, Who Never Received the French Crown

The End of Henry V's Story.

The almost fairy-tale finale of Michôd's film, with the young king's romantic rapprochement with his bride Catherine of Valois, daughter of Charles VI, who by some strange coincidence is dressed extremely poorly, contrary to the custom among girls of her circle of wearing literally kilograms of gold jewellery, immediately after the victory over the base and ridiculous French and the reckoning with traitors and liars, is, to put it mildly, far from the truth. Yes, in 1420 Henry formally became heir to the French crown after the death of Charles VI, but, firstly, the father-in-law outlived the son-in-law, who died of dysentery 7 years after the famous battle, and secondly, Henry never got to wear two crowns. So what is there to be cheerful about?
