Philadelphia Museum of Art has filed a lawsuit against its former director and CEO Sasha Suda, reports Artguide. The suit states that she “misappropriated the museum's funds and lied to conceal the theft”. Suda was recently dismissed from the museum after three years in the post, despite the five years stipulated in her contract. After her dismissal she sued the museum, claiming she had been let go “without good cause”. The museum has rejected Suda's allegations, stating that she repeatedly insisted on raising her salary above an annual income of $720 thousand, and when she did not get what she wanted, “awarded herself a raise”.
