For a Couple More Weeks, a Stunning Exhibition of Works by Zinaida Serebriakova (1884-1967) Is on at the Russian Spiritual and Cultural Orthodox Centre on the Quai Branly in Paris, Supported by the Diocese of Chersonesus
The exhibition marks the 140th anniversary of the birth of the Russian-French artist and the centenary of her move from Russia to France.
The exhibition has astonished the Parisian public. Serebriakova, already fairly well known, has revealed herself to still more people as an incredibly modern, talented, original and refined artist, one who anticipated the future. The exhibition is not large, but very representative: the display includes personal belongings and more than 50 works by Zinaida Serebriakova from both her Russian and French periods, among them self-portraits that captivate all who see them, still lifes, landscapes, and genre sketches from Italy, Morocco and Switzerland.
