Now it is official: the winter |catalog| contemporary art fair will take place in Moscow from 6 to 8 December. Catalog is the only contemporary art fair in Russia organised directly by gallerists, and so the terms of participation differ from those of the usual commercial fairs. For instance, all the galleries appear on an equal footing and receive their stands by lot, and this time each gallery is required to present the work of at least one young artist.

The fair is a little less than three weeks away, which means that we have not much time left to prepare a budget for purchases and to study the artists of the 55 Russian galleries taking part in this edition of Catalog. Should anyone intend to visit the fair as a dealer, the Association of Galleries, which is organising the fair, invites them to acquaint themselves with a rather curious memorandum.

The fair will be held, as is traditional, in the historic printing house of Ivan Sytin on Pyatnitskaya Street, also known as the First Model Printing House.
