The Winzavod annual gathering of young artists from the market has turned into the Win-Win fair

The Winzavod annual gathering of young artists from the market has turned into the Win-Win fair. A rather pleasant way to spend a day off. There are plenty of all sorts of young people, not yet spoiled by the word "art", waiting for you to come and discover their work.

I noticed the crates of beef by Yulia Potylitsyna, the salt sculptures of Erika Savina and the graphic works on glass by Rita Muradyan. I also spotted a great many perfectly respectable photographic works and some painting of selective interest, the traditional homages to the Moscow conceptualists and, this year, a large number of naive objects, evidently intended for the youngest audience.

The fair features not only newcomers but also young artists who already exhibit, such as Nadya Koldayeva, whose installation is currently on show at MAMM. On the fair side of things: a new approach to stand construction and a curatorial stand with video art.

The main thing: prices. Sensible ones, not the crazed hundreds of thousands; there are works from a modest 2-3 thousand, small objects average around 20-40 thousand, and the most expensive I saw, I think, went for 200-300 thousand. On the whole, anyone in the grip of a buying-and-collecting mania can pick up something even on a modest budget.

As for the rest, I wish all the young talents not to stop but to keep trying their strength, to learn by looking at the best, and to be able to see themselves from the outside, especially with such a variety of formats and levels
