Some interesting observations: London's population at that time was 6.4 million. An incredible figure for the period. Today London's population is 9.6 million, and no fewer than 15-20% of them are Muslims.
Major European capitals with a significant share of non-Christian inhabitants in 1900: Berlin, 2.2 million, with 5% Jews; Vienna, 1.6 million, with 9% Jews; Constantinople, 950,000, with 43% Muslims; Budapest, 680,000, with 22% Jews; Warsaw, 640,000, with 32% Jews; Amsterdam, 510,000, with 13% Jews; Odesa, 410,000, with 35% Jews; and, surprisingly, Salonica, 150,000, with 50% Jews.
