Police arrest vandals at the Louvre

On Saturday the Paris police arrested two dimwits from Germany at the Louvre, who had fixed two paintings of their own, each measuring 30 by 40 cm, to the wall beside the "Mona Lisa". One of the pictures they had brought depicted a man in armour. The other showed two men together with a woman.

The museum's security staff detained the men and called the police. The police arrested them for minor damage to the wall. Under questioning the men declared that they had done it for fun. The court will summon both men once the museum lodges an official complaint about the damage caused. The "Mona Lisa" herself was in no way harmed
