State Duma passes in first reading a bill banning images of places of worship and religious objects stripped of their religious symbols

The State Duma has passed in first reading a bill banning the use of images of places of worship and religious objects without their religious symbols. The ban is to apply to the media, the internet, advertising, goods, signage, and state and municipal emblems.
