An exhibition marking the 100th anniversary of the Library of Foreign Literature itself and the 120th anniversary of its founder, Margarita Ivanovna Rudomino, has opened at the library. The display includes the first director's personal belongings, letters and photographs. It also features an unusual multimedia element: an interview between Pozner and Margarita Rudomino. You would not be mistaken in thinking that Vladimir Pozner never interviewed Rudomino, who died in 1990, but... But Pozner recorded the questions he might have put to the legendary librarian and long-serving director of the Inostranka, and she did answer in person, though her voice comes from an archive recording in which Rudomino speaks of the most important events of her life and the milestones in the library's existence. The exhibition is open during the Inostranka's working hours; do visit, and touch not only the history of library life but also that of the powerful, freedom-loving intellectual movement that took shape around the library from its earliest days
