In 1912 Alphonse Mucha was asked to decorate the Municipal House in Prague, with its concert hall, gallery, restaurants and several drawing rooms. The artist produced murals, decoration, textiles and sketches for furniture for one of the rooms, the Lord Mayor's Hall.
