The total proceeds of Christie's "Post-War to Present" sale, held on 27 February, came to $21.3 million, reports artnews.com. The most expensive lot of the evening was Helen Frankenthaler's abstraction Concerto, dated 1982. The lot went under the hammer for $2.1 million dollars.
Of the 217 lots offered, 55 remained unsold. Among the works that failed to find buyers were pieces by Keith Haring, Ai Weiwei, Takashi Murakami and Alexander Calder.
