Saint Petersburg's Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory plans to organise tours of its renovated historic building once the repairs are complete

The main works are due to be finished by December, but some classes may resume as early as September. Particular attention has been paid to preserving the historic appearance of the building while equipping it with modern facilities. The acoustics of the Rubinstein Great Hall have been improved, and the acoustic properties of the Glazunov Small Hall have been fully preserved.

The conservatoire, founded in 1862, has gained an additional 700 square metres of space through the conversion of its service courtyards. The building now has multimedia classrooms, a renovated canteen and a rest area, and its private chapel has been restored, reports the newspaper Kultura.
