Saint Peter's Cathedral in Beauvais, France's tallest Gothic church, unfinished since 1225

The tallest Gothic cathedral in France, Saint-Pierre in Beauvais, has never been finished since 1225. The structure of the church kept collapsing right up to the 20th century, when the old iron tie-rods were unwisely replaced with steel ones.
