Yesterday evening, in an interview with Italian television, Francis said, verbatim: "What I am about to say is not dogma, but something personal: I like to think of hell as empty, and I hope that this is the reality!"

That the pontiff contradicts the words of the saints and doctors of the Church is hardly news, but on this particular thought one would like some clarification: if hell is empty, where, in his opinion, is Hitler, for example?
