I think that the pictures Mindadze and I made can hardly be assigned to this, so to speak, movement. So to speak, I stress. Because we always expressed ourselves precisely and clearly, and always had in mind the future viewer. And our pictures, when they did well on release, were very much in demand with the public. So in the modern sense I can in no way classify my own pictures as arthouse. I even suspect that today "arthouse" is when a picture is not put together, not coordinated, that is, a defocusing of thought and feeling, and at times of the image itself, tricks for the sake of tricks, and all of this is loudly called "arthouse"
