The museum holds the largest collection of works by Pablo Picasso in the world. And now, as the "Picasso 2030" project is being prepared, at a cost of €50 million and providing for the construction of a new wing of 800 sq. m for temporary exhibitions, the museum needs money.

The French Ministry of Culture has been unable to allocate funds for the project, and the museum is counting on its own resources, a contribution from the Picasso family and corporate sponsors.
