A 1954 document on a reprimand for forgery as a possible exhibit for a Jewish Museum

I have in my possession a unique document in which a party commission examines the offence of a man who had, on his own authority, altered his nationality in his autobiography and personnel file from "Jewish" to "Russian", for himself and for his parents.

Such is the imprint of a tragic era. For falsification, a severe reprimand was announced, to be entered in his record.

The document is dated 1954, and it is generally held that the fever of antisemitism in the country began to subside as early as 1953, so that earlier this question would have been examined in quite different circumstances.

Who could have thought that a few decades later the state of affairs would change to exactly the opposite? I think the document would make a fine exhibit for a Jewish museum.
