Dmitry Bulnygin was the first contemporary artist in my collection

Dmitry Bulnygin was the first contemporary artist in my collection. Known in the 2000s as a punk artist, Bulnygin, who went on to win recognition as a painter, sculptor, digital artist and videographer, seems to have had time to work in every medium. He even organised his own Ultra-Short Film Festival, which accepted only works of up to one minute in length. It turns out that he anticipated the format of Vines and Reels by more than ten years.

Today the Syntax gallery at Cube Moscow has opened an exhibition of Dmitry Bulnygin's recent work, featuring wild dried flowers made of wire and nails, ceramics and wooden sculpture. A splendid project by a remarkable artist who has not been seen for a long while.
