В Филлиповском переулке расшили стены здания бывшего Студенческого общежития имени Лепёшкина Императорского Московского университета 1884 года, где размещается Театральный дом «Старый Арбат». Самое интересное, кроме наглядности утраченных технологий прошлого, это то, что здание обычно указывается как кирпичное. Как и многие московские домики XIX века, оно деревянное, на каменном, кирпичном цоколе и фундаменте, с внешней отделкой штукатуркой.
