# Le château Saint-Ange, ou le Château de la Tristesse : l'un des plus anciens édifices encore en service de Rome

Fondé en 135 sur commande d'Hadrien comme mausolée destiné aux empereurs de Rome, il devint plus tard forteresse, résidence des papes de Rome, puis, au XIVe siècle, château pontifical doté d'une prison, où fut notamment enfermé Giordano Bruno.
