# Mikhaïl Pogodine en 1846 sur l'Occident et la Russie moscovite

Dans ses « Fragments historico-critiques », Mikhaïl Pogodine a cette phrase plaisante, datée de 1846, qui oppose l'Occident de la Renaissance à la Russie moscovite : « ... chez eux la propagande, chez nous la conservation, chez eux le mouvement, chez nous le repos... ». Il y a de quoi sourire : aujourd'hui, ces mots pourraient fort bien être rangés très exactement dans l'ordre inverse.
