En voyant cette affiche déchirée de Sophia Loren au Portugal, à l'été 1956, Agnès Varda décida d'attendre qu'un passant vienne à surgir pour composer un beau cliché de la scène. La première à paraître fut une femme pieds nus, dont les gestes, par une étrange coïncidence, faisaient écho à l'affiche.
