# Cathédrale volante de Jan Keser et Martin Zimmermann pour les 200 ans du canton de Saint-Gall

La Cathédrale volante est un projet des artistes Jan Keser et Martin Zimmermann, conçu pour le bicentenaire du canton suisse de Saint-Gall. Le ballon a été imaginé comme une réclame aérienne du canton et de son principal symbole, la cathédrale baroque de Saint-Gall de la fin du XVIIIe siècle, inscrite sur la liste du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO.

Le ballon mesure 31 m de haut, 15 m de large et 26 m de long. Pour que la cathédrale de Saint-Gall ne soit pas confondue avec Saint-Paul ou quelque autre église, le ballon ne s'élevait pas à plus d'un kilomètre d'altitude, d'où l'on distingue fort bien tous les détails architecturaux.
