Facile à retenir. Quand le nom s'écrit Chérémétiev avec un signe mou, il s'agit des serfs des comtes dont le nom, lui, s'écrit Chérémétev, sans signe mou. Du mot turc « cheremet », on ne peut plus simple et pataud.
