La diva cosmique Plavalaguna, imaginée par Besson et chantant d'une voix de cantatrice albanaise, celle d'Inva Mula, l'air de Lucia di Lammermoor, doit son nom surnaturel de Plavalaguna à celui de la station balnéaire croate de Plava Laguna, où Luc Besson a passé beaucoup de temps dans son enfance avec ses parents, qui étaient moniteurs de plongée.
